This form is used to add individual products to each category.
- The Identifier is a short code that appears on the Order Summary and check
out documents.
- The Descriptive Name appears on the list format page and mouse-over image tags
for most browsers.
- The Description field appears to the right of the larger product image on the
detailed product pages that appear in the lower frame or in the pop up windows.
- A Shipping Weight Factor of 1.5 will add 50% to an items weight charge and is
used to adjust items that do not fit the linear relationship unit price/weight such as odd
shapes.
- A Tax Factor of 0 will remove all taxes from a product; i.e. the product is
non-taxable.
- The Tag Image is selected using the File Browser from the Tag Images Folder.
- The Detailed Image File Name is selected via using the File Browser from the Product Images
Folder. The corresponding preview image appears in the preview window on the form;
provided that a small preview image exists with the name pre_ Detailed Image File Name
in the Preview Images Folder. For example, if the
detail image is "item_01.gif" then preview image is "pre_item_01.gif"
each in its respective folder.
- It is best to number your images sequentially if possible.
- The Show "xxx" Options buttons allow customizing individual product options as
shown below. The option settings are carried forward from the last record if Duplicate
Record button is used thus saving tedious work for categories that one item
product option choices.
